Dundalk FC have been awarded a UEFA Licence ahead of their return to the Champions League qualifiers this summer.

The FAI confirmed the body’s Independent Club Licensing Committee passed the Lilywhites’ application’, along with those of Cork City, Shamrock Rovers and St. Patrick’s Athletic, who will play in the Europa League preliminaries.

St. Pat's receiving a licence means Waterford miss out on a European place despite finishing last season in fourth place.

Presently, Dundalk host Rovers tomorrow night seeking to claim a fourth successive league victory.
