St. Nicholas 0-7 Dowdallshill 2-8
Dowdallshill picked up their first win of the season in the Louth Division 3B League, after coming from behind to beat St. Nicholas in Sunday’s match at a blustery Rathmullen.
The Nicks had the aid of a strong wind in the first half but were unable to capitalise on their advantage. Points from Derek Kierans, Phillip Kirwan and Evan Byrne had the nicks leading by 0-5 to 0-1 at the break but ultimately a number of missed chances and poor play would cost them.
The Dundalk men put in a huge second half performance to turn the tables on the home side, boosted by goals from Gerry McShane and substitute Dylan Cahill.
