Stabannon Parnells 0-9 Glen Emmets 5-15
Glen Emmets bounced back from their defeat in their opening league game of the season by recording a comfortable win over Stabannon Parnells on Friday night.
Emmets were in fine scoring form on the night and never looked back after a four-goal first half that ended with them leading by 15 points.
Emmets got off the mark through Conor Grimes, Keith Lynch and Kealan O’Neill before James Butler struck the first goal of the game on 12 minutes, while Isaac Walsh followed up with the second before the end of the first quarter.
Stabannon did get on the scoreboard through Aonghus Giggins and Aidan Shevlin, but the Glen Emmets continued to dominate and further goals from Walsh and Andrew Mooney had them leading by 4-7 to 0-4 at the break.
Despite the best efforts of Aonghus Giggins, who finished with seven points to his name, Stabannon were never in a position to threaten the Tullyallen men and the Emmets completed the victory when substitute David Bracken added the fifth goal.
