Plans are afoot to move the All-Ireland senior club hurling and football finals away from St. Patrick’s Day, Louth GAA’s Leinster delegate Declan Byrne has said.
The O’Connell’s man told Monday night’s meeting of Louth County Board that all national club finals could be played by next January and moving forward, within the calendar year.
Elsewhere, Central Council delegate Pat Toner informed the meeting that National League attendances were down 10 percent on last year, but that revenue had jumped by seven percent.
