Dundalk FC could face Ajax in a rematch of their '87/'88 Cup Winners' Cup tie if they get over Larnaca test

Dundalk FC will face either Ajax or Sturm Graz (Austria) in the third round of the Europa League qualifiers if they defeat AEK Larnaca.

The Lilywhites host the Cypriot Cup winners in Thursday night's first leg knowing who they could potentially oppose following today's draw in Switzerland. 

Should they make it through, they would play the loser of the Champions League meeting of Ajax and Sturm Graz on August 9 and 16.

While the Lilywhites have never faced Austrian opposition, they did oppose Ajax in the 1987-88 European Cup Winners' Cup. The Dutch outfit won 6-0 on aggregate.
