Sheelan Cup

Dundalk Gaels 2-17 Naomh Fionnbarra 1-6

Dundalk Gaels encountered little difficulty as they cruised to victory over Naomh Fionnbarra at DkIT on Friday night.

In a game where the Dundalk men were on top from the outset the result was rarely in doubt as first-half goals from Chris Sweeney and Niall Hearty had them in control.

However, the Finbarrs did manage to get a goal back through Nicholas Butterly, but, at the break, they trailed by 2-11 to 1-1.

The Ballygassan men were more competitive in the second half, but were never in contention to stage a comeback.
