Woodview Celtic and Hazel Lane United - two of the teams chasing automatic promotion to Division One - played a cracking, if scoreless draw in Muirhevnamor on Sunday afternoon.

In a game that could have gone either way, Woodview had their opportunities to take all three-points , particularly during a first-half in which they played some terrific stuff.

However, considering 'keeper Pádraig Gorham was forced to make some wonderful stops towards the end, Conor Macken's side happily settled for a point which maintains their top-three positioning.

Woodview twice saw the ball cleared off the line in the first-half as both Conor Macken, direct from a corner, and Dylan Thornton, with a header, went close.

The hosts started the second-period well too with Mackin seeing an effort rebound off the 'bar, while the on-form Deane Browne missed a glorious one-on-one opportunity.

Though, towards full-time, Hazel Lane began to exert pressure on the Woodview goal and only for heroic keeping by Gorham, they would have taken victory .

Woodview Celtic: Pádraig Gorham; Shea McArdle, Dylan Thornton, Shane Taffee, Stephen Begley; Paul McArdle, Kyle Carroll, Conor Macken; Deane Browne, Barry Carr, Niall Mackin

Subs: Danann Killeen, Raymond McCann, Derek Rogers
