Toal steps down as Clan na Gael chairman after four-years in office

Leslie Toal stood down as Clan na Gael chairman after four-years in the void at the club's AGM on Sunday.

Having oversaw the club's successful centenary celebrations last year, Toal is to be replaced by Niall Weldon, who set down his mandate at yesterday's meeting.

Paul Gray has been appointed as vice-chairman - replacing Maurice Harrison - and Paula Harrison has been re-elected as the club's secretary. Fra Byrne - who was named Clubman of the Year - was returned as treasurer for the 13th year in succession.

The PRO is Donna Conroy, chairman of the fundraising committee is Gerard Duffy, Sean Dixon is the development officer, there will be joint-registrars - Caoimhe Curran and Bernadette Wesley, while the remainder of the club's committee is as follows: Leslie Toal, Maurice Harrison, Chris Noonan, Karl O'Connor and Peter Dixon.
