Mark McCann will continue as Clan na Gael manager for the 2018 season.

A former player with the Ecco Road side, McCann took over the reins of the Castletown club midway through the 2016 season where he went on to lead them to Division One of the league.

They held their top-flight status with some comfort this year before reaching their second Intermediate Championship final in three-years where O'Connell's prevailed on a six-point winning margin.

However, at today's AGM, McCann was overwhelmingly ratified to extend his tenure into a third season. Niall O'Donnell will continue alongside him with Karl O'Connor a new addition to the coaching ticket.
