Deaths in Dundalk, Monday February 6th, 2017

The death has occurred of Michael Bent of Headford, Mount Avenue, Dundalk and Finglas, Dublin
Peacefully, in the Philippines, after a short illness, surrounded by his loving family, 5th February 2017. Michael, beloved husband of Linda and adored father of Katie and Andrew, son of the late Kay and Brendan and brother of the late Frances. Deeply loved and missed by his wife, daughter, son, brothers Brendan, Joe, Rolly, Denis, and Paul, sisters Mary, Ann, Cathy, Ellie and Mairead, parents-in-law Michael and Rose Laverty, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives and many friends.

The death has occurred of Tim Kearney of Whitestown, Greenore
Peacefully, in the tender loving care of the staff at Carlingford Nursing Home, in his 94th year. He will be sadly missed by his loving sister Margaret, sisters-in-law Briege, Bridie and Betty, nephews, nieces, family circle, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Carlingford Nursing Home on Sunday from 3pm with removal at 6.20pm to the Church of Our Lady Star of the Sea, Boher, arriving at 7pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Monday morning at 11am followed by burial in adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to the Irish Red Cross.

The death has occurred of Bridie McGivern (née Moore) of Fatima Court, Dundalk
Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital. Predeceased by her husband Jimmy, parents Thomas and Catherine, brothers and sisters. Very deeply regretted by her daughter Katrina, sons Patrick, Seamus and Thomas, brother Brendan, son-in-law Sean, daughter-in--law Geraldine, Seamus' partner Angela, grandchildren Denise, Louise, Seán, Gemma, Tara, Jamie and Michelle, great-grandchildren Lucy, Liam and Jack, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family, relatives, wonderful neighbours and friends.
​Reposing at her residence, Fatima Court, from 12 noon to 8pm Sunday and Monday, Removal on Tuesday morning at 10.40am, proceeding on foot, to Saint Joseph's Church, Castletown, Fatima, arriving for Funeral Mass at 11am, followed by burial in adjoining cemetery.

The death has occurred of Mary Shields of Jenkinstown, Dundalk
Peacefully, in the tender loving care of the staff of Blackrock Abbey Nursing Home, surrounded by her family. She will be sadly missed by her loving nephews, nieces, family circle, neighbours, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Quinn's Funeral Home from 3pm-8pm on Sunday and on Monday from 2pm. Removal on Monday evening at 5.45pm to St. Mary's Church, Lordship arriving at 6.30pm. Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday morning at 11am followed by burial in Lordship Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations to the Maria Goretti Foundation, Lordship C/O Quinn's Funeral Homes.

Predeceased by his mother Helen (née Murphy). Very deeply regretted by his loving family, partner Grace, father Paul, sisters Natasha and Nicola, brother Benny, sister-in-law Louise, brothers-in-law Sean and Michael, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, relatives and friends.
​Paul's Funeral Mass will take place on Monday afternoon at 1pm in The Church of The Holy Redeemer, followed by burial in Saint Patrick's Cemetery, Dundalk.

The death has occurred of Rita Elmore (née Carville) of "Liosard" Mountain Park, Carlingford and Belfast
Peacefully in the tender and loving care of the staff at Carlingford Nursing Home. Retired science teacher, Our Lady's Grammar School, Newry. Predeceased by her beloved husband Sean. Very deeply regretted by her daughters Moira and Paula, sister-in-law Dorrie, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
She reposed at Carlingford Nursing Home on Saturday. Removal was on Sunday morning at 11.00 am to St. Michael's Church, Carlingford arriving for Mass at 11.30 am. Burial was afterwards in Boher Cemetery.
