A new development on the site of the former Cosy Bar on Barrack Street has reached completion.

Originally granted planning permission which was later extended in 2021, the development was granted planning permission for a new three-storey building. According to the planning permission, the structure includes a ground floor retail unit and two apartments on the upper floors.

In addition, a new two-storey terraced dwelling has been constructed at No. 8 Barrack Street. The project also included comprehensive site development works to support the new buildings.

The development comes as planning permission has been lodged on the sites of two other famous Dundalk pubs, Windmill Bar & Restaurant at Seatown Place and McManus’ Pub in Seatown.
