Faughart Community Alert group said it would like to thank the huge crowd for participating and a particular thanks to all the volunteers who made the St Brigid's candlelit procession such a magical night.
This unique event celebrated four aspects of Brigid; Brigid The Saint, The Goddess, The Woman, The Local.
Faughart Community Alert group said that “people travelled from abroad and all over the country, specifically to be there to experience this wonderful event which is a treat to all the senses”.
It added: “There is never a better time to see Faughart Hill with the Bonfire ablaze on top of the Motte and fire pits and lanterns illuminating the ancient graveyard and Dundalk lights flickering below. Truly an unforgettable experience in a very spiritual place."
