Cllr Tomas Sharkey was furious when the county manager told a meeting of the county council on Monday that the promised house purchasing report would be delayed.
The manager told the monthly meeting that the council’s internal auditor, Deloitte, have looked at properties acquired by the council in 2010, talked to members of the council staff, and looked at documents made available to them. She said their report is in progress, it will be methodical, and will be made available to the council as soon as possible. But Cllr Sharkey, was furious and said a council press release had stated that a report would be available at this month’s council meeting.
“The auditors were brought in to this building last week and we were promised a report,” he said.
