May belongs to the Bealtaine Festival, celebrating creativity as we age. Over 120,000 people across the country now take part in Bealtaine.

This year’s Bealtaine Festival theme is ‘What kind of old do you want to be?’ It recognises that older people are not one homogeneous group; we are individuals with widely differing talents, interests and needs.

The following events are still to come in Dundalk Library:

Radio Documentary Workshop with Dundalk FM:

Wed. May 16th @ 11am.

This workshop will illustrate how to capture stories of the old days. Listen to radio documentary-makers talk about their experiences of making radio programmes about Dundalk. There are free sample documentaries for everyone who attends.

Bealtaine Table Quiz in conjunction with Dundalk Europe Direct Centre:

Thur. May 24th @ 2.30pm

One of the most popular events in the library calendar. Admission is free, tables of four, bring a friend. All welcome, spot prizes and refreshments.
