Man in 60s killed in Monaghan crash

A man in his sixties was killed after the vehicle he was driving crashed into a articulated truck.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision in Co. Monaghan.

At approximately 11.30 a.m. a male aged in his 60s was fatally injured when the van he was driving collided with an articulated lorry on the N2 south of Emyvale.

He was pronounced dead at the scene. Gardai and emergency services are at the scene and forensic collision investigators have been notified. Diversions are in place.
