The case of a 51- year-old man from County Monaghan charged with two counts of sexually exploiting a child was again adjourned at Ardee Court for the completion of a probation report.

The accused appeared originally before the court in January and a psychiatrist report was obtained on him, and at last month’s sitting the Judge also asked for a probation report.

It was stated at last week’s sitting that the report was not ready and a six to eight week adjournment was requested to complete it. Judge Patrick McMahon adjourned the charges and another for indecency to June 10th.

The accused who can not be named for legal reasons, is alleged to have committed the offences on February 9th last year at a location in County Louth.

The Director of Public Prosecutions agreed to the case being dealt with in the District Court if the accused
pleaded guilty.
