A “substantial” reward has been put up by the owner of a dog which disappeared minutes before he was due to compete in the Dundalk Dog Show.
John Kehoe from Faughart said that a reward is on offer for information which will lead to the safe return of his three-year-old dog ‘Jack’ who went missing from his home on Saturday, July 23.
“He had been prepared for the dog show so we let him out of the house and he was running in the garden. The dog vanished within 20 minutes and we believe that he was taken,” said John.
“My daughter had planned to do the Junior handling classes in Dundalk in the hope to qualify for Crufts’ Dog Show. These hopes have now been shattered.
“That aside, the disappearance of the dog has caused her much anxiety and upset as it has done to all the family. Jack was very much loved.”
