Chairman ready to work with new chief

The new chairman of Louth County Council Cllr Declan Breathnach has said he is looking forward to working with Louth’s new county manager Philomena Poole whose appointment will be ratified by the council at next Monday’s monthly meeting.

The new chairman of Louth County Council Cllr Declan Breathnach has said he is looking forward to working with Louth’s new county manager Philomena Poole whose appointment will be ratified by the council at next Monday’s monthly meeting.

Cllr Breathnach said the previous manager Conn Murray had been the prime mover of the Narrow Water Bridge project, had set up the Louth Economic Forum, and Louth Age Friendly, and he is looking forward to working with the new manager and the council as they work together for the county. Ms Poole was deputy manager for South Dublin County Council which was named Council of the Year by Local Authority Association.
