CELEBRITY chef Neven Maguire has been lined up to launch ‘A Taste of Louth’, a free artisan food and craft fair which is due to take place at Dundalk Institute of Technology (DkIT) on Saturday, November 19.
The popular chef will also give two Christmas cookery demonstrations at the festival. Food lovers can attend Neven Maguire’s cookery demonstrations at either 12.30pm or 2.30pm. A Whiskey Tasting Masterclass will also be given by Cooley Distillery.
Music and entertainment will be provided by The Cross Border Orchestra Strings Group and the organisers promise that there are some “great prizes” to be won on the day.
Participating traders include Daisy’s Pantry - Homemade Jams & Chutneys; Aruna Curry Sauces by Fushia House; Kookee - Scrumptious Homebaked Cookies and Cookie Dough; Brian Lynch Finest Salads - Flavoured Mayonnaises; Darling Buds - Wedding & Event Floral Arrangers; Cake & Crumb - Gluten Free Bakery & Cake Mixers; Cooley Distillery - award winning Irish whiskey; MayRose Cupcakes - Specialist Cupcake Bakery; Boozeberries - Berry Liqueurs; Derrycamma Oil - Rapeseed Oils & Flavoured Oils; Bia Blasta - Quality Salad Dressings and Dips; Food For Thought - award winning delicatessen; Alan McGuinness Wine Warehouse - Purveyors of Fine Wines; Ferdia Fine Foods manufacturers of Danucci Chocolates; and Chapel Cross Cakes - Bespoke Celebration Cakes. Louth’s primary and secondary schools are being invited to get involved in the festival by entering a colouring competition and a Cup Cake competition.
