A FUN Bingo Night organised by students in DkIT raised e3,600 for the suicide support group SOSAD.
According to one of the organisers, Ben Hagan, the night was a “great success” depsite adverse weather conditions.
“We got a huge turn out despite the terrible weather and The Friary was packed,” said Mr Hagan.
“With all the proceeds of the night we managed to raise e3,600 for SOSAD. We would like to thank all those who turned out and made the night the success that it was.”
Mr Hagan and the other students - Sarah Smith, Liz Englishby, Larry Brennan, Aisling Hoey, Kellie Lougheed - recently presented Davina Shortall from SOSAD with a cheque for e3,600.
The students organised the charity night as part of their course requirements.
