ARSON: Overnight attack on Woodland Park halting site condemned

The Woodland Park halting site.

Sinn Féin Louth TD Gerry Adams has expressed deep concern at reports of

damage and suspected arson at Woodland Park site, Dundalk.

The Woodland Park site in Dundalk, was currently being refurbished, and is reported to have been vandalised in a suspected arson attack last night.

Responding to news of the attack Teachta Adams said;

“I’ve been in touch with An Garda Síochana, and if this is an arson attack, then everyone has a duty to support the Gardaí  in their investigations, so that the perpetrator can be brought to justice.

I also welcome the commitment from Louth County Council that they will complete the refurbishment  works.

Travellers have rights and like all sections of our society, we need to defend and promote those rights”.
