Not the actual dog in question.
Two eldery women have been attacked in recent weeks by the same dog in a residential area of Dundalk.
The Dundalk Democrat understands that the incidents occured in the Road 2 area of Muirhevnamor.
The first incident saw a woman in her 70s attacked by the dog. The second incident happened on a Saturday evening when a woman in her late 70s was making her way to a relative’s house.
While the dog did not knock the elderly woman to the ground, it tore her clothing. Thankfully no serious damage was done.
Both incidents occured in broad daylight, and the dog – said to be of medium size - is still roaming free in the area. The shocking attacks have left the victims and a number of other elderly women in the area fearful of leaving the housing in case the dog strikes again.
