Raided bingo hall send message out message of defiance after armed robbery

Let's Bingo on the Racecourse Road

Let's Bingo who were targeted in an armed raid last night have sent out a message of defiance to the armed gang who robbed them.

They have also lauded their heroic 'staff' who worked to get the bingo hall back up and running today.

In a statement on Facebook management said: "Thanks for all your messages and good wishes after last night's incident.

"I am delighted that thanks to some heroic work from the staff late last night and early this morning and the great help from the Gardai also in their crime scene investigations teams, we will be fully functional again by 2pm today and would be happy to see you all again soon."

"We will update members about the way we will be dealing with the games we had to abort last night due to the early closure.

"We are obviously keen to send a message out to those who seek to disrupt our pleasures in life that we can get back to normal and enjoy ourselves despite their worst efforts to stop us.

"Thank you for your patience and understanding and once again, apologies for any inconvenience that may have been caused temporarily. And last but by no means least, a huge thank you to the staff."
