Dundalk FC announce signing of former Liverpool youngster Krisztián Adorján

Dundalk FC have announced the loan signing of Krisztián Adorján from Novara Calcio.

The 25-year-old Hungarian joins the Lilywhites on a deal to July having featured in Wednesday's pre-season friendly with Shanghai Shenxin.

A statement on the Italian side's website this morning indicated the deal was imminent and Dundalk have since confirmed the news.

While never making a competitive first-team appearance for Liverpool, Adorján has gone on to forge a career for himself, firstly in the Netherlands with FC Groningen where he made 19 appearances, scoring three times. The attacker transferred to Novara in 2014, playing 19 times before moving to Albanian side FK Partizani in the summer of 2017, where he made nine appearances.

He will add to Stephen Kenny's attacking options for the season ahead.
