Man dies in hospital days after being attacked in Clonsilla

A man has died in hospital days after he was attacked during an incident in Dublin, gardai have said.

The incident happened at the entrance to the car park of a pub on Clonsilla Road, Clonsilla, shortly after 11pm on Sunday.

The man, in his 40s, was seriously injured. He died at Connolly Hospital, Blanchardstown, on Thursday.

A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the incident and appeared before Blanchardstown District Court on Tuesday.

Gardai have appealed to anyone who was in the area at the time to come forward.

They are also appealing to anyone with camera footage, including motorists with dash-cam footage from Clonsilla Road between the junctions of Shelerin Road and Porterstown Road, to contact them.

Gardai have also appealed to an off-duty medical professional who provided assistance at the scene to make himself known to them in Blanchardstown.
