A number of appeals for assistance from members of the public were issued over the Christmas period

A number of missing person appeals which were issued over the Christmas period have been stood down, gardai have confirmed.

Separate updates have been issued by the authorities who had sought assistance from members of the public in recent days.

In the first case, gardai say Frankie Jeffray, 25, who was reported as missing from her home in Dún Laoghaire, County Dublin on Friday night has been located "safe and well".

Separately, they say David Falvey, 33, from Mayfield in Cork, who was reported missing on December 22, has also been located while 52-year-old Edward 'Ned' Harty, was located "safe a well" on Saturday - more than a week after he was reported missing from his home in Roscrea, County Tipperary.
