“We’re delighted to play a part in helping the next generation grow, learn and thrive both on and off the pitch.”

Programme highlights

To date, the Sports Direct Grassroots GAA Programme has invested over €1.2 million in grassroots GAA, supporting 18 clubs, over 70 teams and more than 20,000 members across Ireland.

As part of this support, clubs have received essential equipment, including over 14k GAA balls, 14k sliotars, 1,000 ball carriers, 13k gym sacks, 15k bibs and 14k mouth guards.

The latest Sports Direct Grassroots GAA product drop is focused on minor teams, with new training equipment provided to support players throughout the season.

This support will help Geraldines continue to develop players and support coaches and volunteers at grassroots level.

Geraldines GFC is grateful for the continued support from Sports Direct, which plays an important role in helping the club support its players and volunteers. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to grassroots GAA and the local community.

Chairperson of Geraldines, Brian Caffertycommented that Sports Direct’s contribution to the club has been invaluable.

They have invested in our future, helping us provide our minor ladies and men with everything required for them to have a really positive Gaelic games experience.

Their long-term commitment to Gaelic Games allows for a more sustainable development of our teams.

We are very fortunate to have such a genuine supporter of grassroots sports involved in our club, and we look forward to working even more closely with Sports Direct in the future.

The club are extremely grateful for all they have done for Geraldines GFC.
