Sean O’Mahonys 2-13 Cooley Kickhams 1-11
Sean O’Mahonys picked up another important two points as they were rewarded for an impressive display with victory over Cooley Kickhams in the John O'Neill Sand and Gravel Louth Division One League on Thursday night.
Following their win over Nh Mairtin in the previous round, the Point Road men made the trip to Fr McEvoy Park in good spirits and returned home with a victory that moves them further away from the relegation battle.

Cian Connor finished with six points for Cooley, while Mickey Rafferty came off the bench to find the net, as they tried to keep their side in the game.
However, it wasn’t enough to prevent a defeat that leaves the hosts looking over their shoulders at the foot of the table.

Naomh Mairtin 3-10 St. Mochtas: 2-13
Gerry Garland landed a dramatic equalising point five minutes into injury time to give St Mochtas a share of the spoils in an entertaining Division 1 league game at Monasterboice on Saturday evening.
Nh Mairtin made a very positive start to the game with Tom Gray, Joe McGrane and Jack Lynch putting them clear before the Mochtas got off the mark.
The visitors levelled but the Jocks regained control when a Jack Lynch two-pointer was followed by a goal from Ben Callanan. The final two points of the half were shared as the Mairtins went in leading by 1-6 to 0-4.
With Declan Byrne in good scoring form, the Mochtas kept in touch with a couple of two-pointers before goals in quick succession from Garland and Cormac Smyth had their side leading by 2-11 to 1-9 after 50 minutes.
The hosts gave themselves a lifeline when Gray found the net, and they looked to have won it when Adam Booth added a third goal in the first minute of injury time. However, the Louth Village side found a response as Garland levelled from a free.

Newtown Blues 0-19 Geraldines 1-14
The battle of the bottom two sides in Division 1 went the way of Newtown Blues as they came away from Haggardstown with what could prove to be a crucial victory.
The win sees the Drogheda men move on to two points after a second successive win, leaving the Geraldines cut adrift at the foot of the table as they await their first points of the campaign.
In a good overall team performance on the night, Ross Nally was the stand-out performer for the winners as he scored a total of 12 points, including two two-pointers.
Those scores were certainly needed in what was a tight contest throughout, with the visitors leading by just 0-11 to 0-10, while also on target for the winners were Brian Kermode, Sean Cummins, Alan Connor and Eoin McCoy.
The Gers kept themselves in contention for victory with a Niall Brennan goal in the second half, but despite scores from Cian O’Donoghue, Jim McEneaney, Michael Rogers, and Brian Cafferty on the night, they just fell short.

Hunterstown Rovers 1-12 St Patricks 2-8
Hunterstown Rovers scored three points inside the last four minutes to claim an important win away to St Patrick's on Saturday night.
Rovers went into the game hoping to halt their recent slide that had seen them lose three successive games following an impressive start to the season and they showed great character to fight back in the closing stages.
St Pats look set to claim their third win of the campaign when a Sean Fearon two-pointer put them two clear entering the final minutes. However, Hunterstown found an extra gear and drew level before landing the winner in injury time.
The Peninsula side were in fine form in the opening stages and found the net twice through Aidan McCann and Jack Murphy inside the opening quarter to take control of the game.
However, Rovers hit back with a Tony McKenna goal to cut the gap to 2-5 to 1-4 at half time.
Hunterstown, who had vital scores from Cian Mathews, Ryan Ward and McKenna, fought back to level and despite going behind again thanks to Fearon’s double, they finished strongly to claim the win.
Hunterstown Rovers: Donovan Sheridan; Daithi Carroll 0-1, Patrick Taaffe, Adam O’Reilly; Colm Murphy 0-1, David Finn, Cillian Taaffe; Marc Ward 0-1, Shane Halpenny; Jamie O’Callaghan, Glen Mathews 0-1, Tony McKenna 1-3; James Rogers, Ryan Ward 0-2, Dean Burns 0-1.

Ardee St. Mary’s 1-13 St. Fechins 0-7
County and League champions Ardee St. Mary’s halted St Fechin's good run of form with an astounding second-half display. Unusually for the winners, the victory was built in their defence as they held the Seasiders to just one point.
Fechins were right in the mix right until the halftime whistle. Evan Dolan struck a two-point free from the deck, and there was just the minimum between the sides, with Brian Talty and Carl Gillespie keeping the hosts' noses in front.
After the interval, the inexperienced Fechin's side came under pressure and made bad decisions that were punished. Conor Gillespie found the target, but Noah Coyle’s goal finished the contest.
The young wing back found the target after John Kennedy’s side hit their first and only point after the interval. With their dander up, Ardee never looked back to go fourth outright in the Division 1 table.
Ardee St. Mary’s: James McGillick; Conor Keenan, Karl Faulkner, Carl Gillespie 0-3; Noah Coyle 1-0, Eimhin Keenan, Kian Moran; Evan Malone 0-1, Brian Talty 0-1; Fionn Coyle 0-1, Shane Matthews Jonathan Commins 0-2; Josh Taaffe 0-1, Conor Gillespie 0-3, Ronan Carroll.
