LMFM Louth U-17 Minor B Championship Final

Roche Emmets claimed victory over Sean O’Mahonys/Dundalk Young Irelands in a low-scoring LMFM Louth U-17 Minor B Championship final at Páirc Uí Mhuire.

A strong opening and disciplined defense saw Roche secure the title with relative comfort. The game began with a bang as Roche Emmets notched up a goal within five minutes, putting them in control early on.

Andrew McArdle followed up with a point just a minute later to extend their lead to 1-1. By the 12th minute, McArdle added another point to make it clear that Roche were here to dominate.

With additional scores from Ciarán Levins and Kyle Callan, Roche Emmets kept pushing forward to build up a lead of 1-5 before halftime.

Sean O’Mahonys/Dundalk Young Irelands managed to register their first score just before the break thanks to a point from Kayden Fisher, but Roche’s defense held strong, keeping their opponents to a single point.

The second half saw Roche continue their steady performance, with McArdle again making his mark with another point three minutes in, stretching the lead to 1-6.

Fisher managed a second point for Sean O’Mahonys/Dundalk Young Irelands in the 37th minute, but it wasn’t enough to spark a comeback.

By the 51st minute, Roche Emmets sealed the win with a final point from McArdle, bringing the game to a close at 1-7 to 0-2.

Roche Emmets' early dominance and controlled play saw them secure a well-deserved championship victory. The win capped off a great season for Roche as they showcased their skill and discipline.
