Louth's fantastic GAA football season in 2024 has earned them four nominations for this year’s PwC Football All-Stars.
The players nominated are Donal McKenny and Craig Lennon, alongside midfielder Tommy Durnin, and team captain Sam Mulroy.
The nominations mark a significant achievement for the Wee County as it is the first time they have secured All-Star nominations in fourteen years.
Louth’s Paddy Keenan made history in 2010 by becoming the county's first and only All-Star winner, following a memorable season that also saw the county reach the Leinster final.
Keenan’s victory stands as a proud moment in Louth’s football history, and the current crop of nominees will no doubt be eager to follow in his footsteps.
While Ger Brennan's side celebrates its success, All-Ireland champions Armagh unsurprisingly lead the pack with an impressive 11 nominations, further underscoring their dominance this year.
In the race for Senior 'Footballer of the Year' award, Armagh’s Barry McCambridge is up against Galway’s Paul Conroy and John Maher.
Meanwhile, the 'Young Footballer of the Year' contenders include Oisín Conaty from Armagh, Johnny McGrath of Galway, and Donegal's rising star, Ciarán Moore.
The nominations were chosen by a panel of Gaelic Games journalists from across, print, radio, TV and digital media.
The PwC All-Stars will be shown live on RTÉ at a special banquet in the RDS on Friday, November 1st – the 140th anniversary of the formation of the GAA.
