Louth Gardaí target car meet and issue fines for tinted windows

One vehicle was also seized for no insurance
Drogheda Roads Policing Unit assisted by Dundalk Roads Policing put an operation in place at the weekend in response to a car meet in the town.
A number of vehicles were stopped for Road traffic infringements, particularly the use of tinted windows
The legal limit for tinted windows states that you must allow 65% light to pass through the windows on the drivers window, front passenger window and windscreen.
A number of fixed penalty notices were issued for the offence while one vehicle was also seized for no insurance.
The driver will now face a court appearance.
