Dundalk woman abusive to gardai

A 44 year old woman became abusive to guards who responded after a taxi driver pulled up outside Dundalk Garda Station and said he 'wished to have her removed' from the vehicle, the local District Court heard last week.

Caroline McDonagh of St. Helena's, Dundalk was prosecuted for being intoxicated in a public place, using threatening, abusive or insulting behaviour and failing to give her name and address arising out of the incident on August 23rd last.

After hearing Ms. McDonagh has recently been suffering from panic attacks and had turned to alcohol, Judge Eirinn McKiernan put back the case to May 5th for the preparation of a Probation report.
