Run for LauraLynn

A team of Ireland’s leading political ladies have issued a call to women of all ages to don their running or walking shoes and get moving to show their support for Ireland’s only children’s hospice, LauraLynn. Leading female members of Ireland’s political landscape including Senators Kathryn Reilly, Catherine Noone, Fidelma Healy-Eames, Mary Moran, Jillian van Turnhout and and TD Mary Mitchell-O’Connor will take part in the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon on the Bank Holiday Monday, 3rd June in aid of LauraLynn Children’s Hospice and are encouraging the women of Louth to do the same.

LauraLynn House, which opened its doors in September 2011 at the Children’s Sunshine Home in Leopardstown, is hoping to surpass the huge success of last year’s event when over 700 women signed up to take the 10k challenge and helped to raisemore than €107,000. Anybody who would like to support LauraLynn can contact 01 289 3151, email or sign up at
