The Best Dressed Vintage Lady and Gentleman competition which was held at the recent Knockbridge Vintage Day was a great success. The competition was very kindly sponsored by Michael Lynch Menswear and Pulse Pacemaker. The prize was a €100 Gift Voucher for Michael Lynch Menswear and Pulse Pacemaker.
Thomas McArdle, Corderry, was the winner of the Best Dressed Vintage Gentleman. Louise Moore, Mullingar, was the winner of the Best Dressed Vintage Lady.
The annual Knockbridge Vintage Day caters for all ages. There is always an extensive display of vintage tractors, cars and bicycles in the field as well as vintage threshing and a working area which will include binders, reapers and vintage combines to name but a few for all the machinery enthusiasts.
Sheep racing is one of the many attractions on the day following its tremendous success over the past few years. There are several other exciting attractions including a Tug of War competition between the local men and ladies, a vintage army display and a Dog Show which always attracts a large number of entrants. Numerous demonstrations take place throughout the day.
