WITH just over two weeks to go until the MINT Dundalk 10km, the organisers of the event are appealing to people from near and far to get behind the race.
The MINT Dundalk 10km is due to take place on Sunday, May 12 and this year all funds raised will be be donated to The North Louth Hospice.
This came about when organisers were introduced to the North Louth Hospice by Raymond McCabe.
Raymond, who lost his wife Annemarie to cancer in November last year. couldn’t praise the North Louth Hospice enough and he himself is taking part in this year’s race even though he has never run before.
If you would like to run for this charity, sponsorship cards can be arranged by calling 0860483355 or calling into the office at North Louth Hospice and Homecare Foundation based at 6/7 Ramparts, Shopping Centre, Dundalk. Charity Number CHY10782.
This year will see a new and improved format as over the years organisers have collected and gathered information from competitors.
The race will take place on a Sunday at 4pm which means there is the opportunity to run a slightly different, more interesting and exciting route than last year.
Over the last three years, with local help, support and partnership a fantastic buzz and atmosphere has been created in Dundalk that will hopefully be felt again this year.
10k Road Race registration costs 20 euros until Tuesday, April 30 and 25 euros thereafter.
