Plans have been submitted to Louth County Council for the overhaul of the former Violet Pub at Blackrock.
Ronan and Denise Wogan have applied to Louth County Council for planning permission to carry out demolition work, refurbishment and an extension of the former public house, which has been closed for some time.
The planning application is seeking the demolition, refurbishment and extension of the landmark premises in the village.
Permission is being sought for the removal of the two-storey extension at the rear of the building and the existing outbuldings to the back garden.
It is also proposed to build a new two-storey extension to the rear of the building.
A number of internal modifications have also been proposed including the reconfiguration of the former pub layout to accommodate a new dwelling layout and an integrated garage as well as alterations to the first floor level to accommodate bedroom layouts.
A new entrance to the garage from the Sandymount Road is also being sought.
