2014 has been a year that Dundalk FC fans will never forget and a new, official club publication, released on November 29, will provide supporters with the perfect memento of an amazing season.
Produced by Dundalk Democrat Sports Editor Gavin McLaughlin, local photographer Ciaran Culligan and designed by Killian Walsh of Dundalk based design studio Grandson, this superb 264-page book covers all 52 games of an unforgettable campaign, from the opening pre-season match with Barnsley on January 24, right through to the euphoric night which saw the Lilywhites clinch their 10th League of Ireland title against Cork City on October 24.
Other notable highlights include the EA Sports Cup final win over Shamrock Rovers, the 2-1 victory against Cork City at Turner’s Cross – when the Lilywhite army descended on Leeside – plus the unforgettable ‘Demolition Derby’ when a rampant Dundalk put seven goals past their Louth neighbours, Drogheda United, at Oriel Park.
The club’s European adventures are also featured in the book with the away trips to Luxembourg and Croatia covered in full.
There is also a 32-page photo gallery featuring images of the club’s supporters, a comprehensive stats section, an introduction from chairman Ciaran Bond and words from the mastermind behind Dundalk’s league and cup double, as manager Stephen Kenny gives his thoughts on an unforgettable season.
Available for just €15 from Oriel Park, the Dundalk FC Club Shop in the Marshes Shopping Centre and from the club’s website, www.dundalkfc.com, it is a must-have for every Dundalk FC and League of Ireland supporter.
