Ardee sees fall in number of crimes recorded for most offence groups according to latest CSO figures
Ardee saw a fall last year in the number of incidents of crimes recorded at Ardee Garda Station across most offence groups, according to the latest figures released by the Central Statistics Office (CSO).
The number of incidents of controlled drug offences recorded in 2025 fell by 37.9%, with 18 incidents recorded at Ardee Garda Station last year, compared to 29 in 2024.
Road and traffic offences also fell in Ardee last year, with 70 incidents recorded, down from 89 in 2024 and representing a fall of 21.4%.
There was a slight fall in the number of incidents of attempts/threats to murder, assaults, harassments and related offences, with 45 recorded in Ardee last year, down 13.5% on the 52 recorded in 2024.
There were falls in weapons and explosives offences, with four incidents recorded in 2025 compared to five in 2024; Robbery, extortion and hijacking offences, with three incidents recorded compared to six in 2024; and kidnapping and related offences, with one incident recorded in 2025 compared to three in 2024.

There was however, an increase in some offence groups, with the number of incidents of burglary and related offences recorded at Ardee Garda Station increasing from 29 in 2024, to 42 in 2025, representing a rise of 44.8%.
Public order and other social code offences rose in Ardee last year, with 63 incidents recorded compared to 40 in 2024, representing a rise of 57.5%.
There was also a rise of 17.7% in the number of incidents of dangerous or negligent acts recorded in Ardee last year, with 60 recorded in 2025, compared to 51 in 2024.
There was a negligible change in the number of incidents of theft and related offences recorded in Ardee last year, with 58 recorded in 2025, up one from 57 in 2024, and down six from 66 in 2023.
Similarly, the number of incidents of offences against government, justice procedures and organisation of crime recorded in Ardee changed little, with 13 incidents recorded at Ardee Garda Station in 2025, compared to 12 in 2024 and 14 in 2023.
