Motorists advised of lane closures in two parts of Dundalk this week

Planned footpath replacement works to take place and the installation of new accessibility crossings at the roundabout junction of Carrick Road and Anne Street

Louth County Council has announced a temporary lane closure is to take place at both the Carrick Road-Anne Street and Quay Street in Dundalk this week to facilitate works.

From Wednesday 18 March, and for no longer than two weeks according to the Council, there will be a lane closure at Carrick Road-Anne Street (Friary Church).

This lane closure is required to facilitate planned footpath replacement works and the installation of new accessibility crossings at the roundabout junction of Carrick Road and Anne Street.

Also at Quay St, by the Londis Shop, at lane closure will take place this Friday 20 March, from 9.30am - 4.30pm, to facilitate the planned repair works of a defective trench and road patch resurfacing works on Quay Street.

A single lane closure with traffic lights will be in operation. This will involve a one-way traffic lane in operation on Quay Street from the town centre, with the opposite direction via a diversion on Barrick Street.
