The event takes place this Saturday 7 February in Bellingham Castle
Louth Fine Gael TD, Deputy Paula Butterly, is set to host her third annual “Women Supporting Women” Ladies Lunch this Saturday 7 February at 2pm, in Bellingham Castle, bringing together women from across the region to celebrate community, solidarity, and empowerment.
The event aims to raise vital funds and awareness for the essential work carried out by Women’s Aid Dundalk, an organisation providing critical support to women experiencing domestic abuse.
This year’s lunch will welcome Minister Jennifer Carroll MacNeill as a special guest speaker. Attendees will also hear from Ann Larkin of Women’s Aid Dundalk, who will highlight the organisation’s ongoing efforts and the increasing need for support services in the current climate.
Deputy Butterly expressed her pride in continuing this important tradition, saying that “in recent years, we have seen real progress on tackling domestic, sexual, and gender‑based violence both through stronger legislation and increased resources.

"Since being elected I have had the opportunity to be at the forefront of driving these issues forward. But it is clear that we must continue to press on even further. Education, awareness, and community engagement will play a key role in ensuring women are protected and supported.”
