The drugs seized in Louth
A man in his 30s has been charged in connection with the seizure of an estimated €150,000 worth of suspected herbal cannabis during a joint operation in Louth on Monday.
He has been scheduled to appear before Drogheda District Court this morning, Tuesday 27th January 2026.
As part of an intelligence-led operation, suspected herbal cannabis, with an estimated value of €150,000 (subject to analysis), was seized by Gardaí and Revenue.
The seizure of approximately 7.5kg herbal cannabis was a result of a joint-operation involving the Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB), Dundalk Drugs Unit, and Revenue Customs Service.
Gardai say investigations are ongoing.
