Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a serious two-car road traffic collision in Dundalk, county Louth, on Saturday December 6, 2025.
At around 8:10pm, Gardaí and emergency services responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the R132 at Dowdallshill.

The female driver of the first car, aged in her late 20s, was removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, Drogheda with non-life-threatening injuries. A passenger in that car, an infant boy, was removed to Temple Street Children’s Hospital where he remains in critical condition.
The male driver of the second vehicle (aged in his early 50s) and the female passenger (a teenager), were removed from the scene to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A technical examination of the scene was conducted by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dash-cam) and were travelling on the R132 in the Dowdallshill area between 7:50pm and 8:20pm are asked to make it available to investigating Gardaí.

Investigations are ongoing.
