An iconic Dundalk landmark, the old Quay Street Railway Station, has gone on the market with a price tag of €350,000.

The station served trains on the Dundalk Newry & Greenore Railway, which ran east from Dundalk to Greenore and north to Newry. The Great Northern Railway maintained services on the railway until the end of 1951.

The property has been brought to the market by McArdle Auctioneers who describe it as:

“Located along the Inner Relief Road with easy access to the M1 Motorway and Dundalk town centre this charming property has enormous potential and presents a rare opportunity to develop a high profile building.

“The property has many uses as Office , Retail , Restaurant or residential use.
