Louth County Council announces temporary road closures in Dundalk

Louth County Council has issued a temporary road closure notice for Bridge St, Fairgreen Road & Linenhall Street in Dundalk,  to facilitate final road resurfacing works on Linenhall Street.

The road closure will take place from Wednesday 6 August to Friday 8 August, and Monday 11 August to Friday 15 August, nightly from 7:30pm to 8am.

Northbound traffic will be diverted via:

  • Castletown Road
  • Legion Avenue
  • Jocelyn Street
  • N52 to the R132 roundabout

Southbound traffic will be diverted via:

  • R132
  • Racecourse Road
  • N52
  • Jocelyn Street
  • Legion Avenue
  • Castletown Road

Local access and emergency access will be maintained at all times. Louth County Council says that this closure is in accordance with Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993 (Roads Regulations 1994).

Any person who wishes to object to this closure should submit their objection in writing (clearly marked “Road Closure Objection”) to the undersigned, or via Louth County Council’s Online Consultation Portal. Deadline for objections: 12pm, Friday 18th July 2025.
