Mary Brennan - Louth And Overall Winner
A Louth carer has been named Comfort Keepers’ Carer of the Year 2025 at a special day of celebrations at one of Ireland’s largest and most awarded homecare companies.
Chosen from ten regional winners from around the country, Mary Brennan was crowned Carer of the Year 2025 on Comfort Keepers National Day of Joy.
Based in Dunleer, Co Louth, Mary has been a carer for 13 years, which began when she cared for her mother during a serious illness. Today, Mary continues to bring humour, empathy and professionalism to every client she supports.
Collette Gleeson, CEO of Comfort Keepers, said:
“Every organisation says that their people are really important. We don't just believe this, we live and breathe it, and our Carer of the Year is our moment to recognise the dedication, the quiet kindness, and hard work of our care teams and our carers across the country. They show up with kindness, trust, and integrity every day. No matter what's going on in their lives, they put their clients' care and needs first.
“Mary loves her job and her clients, has great patience and a high level of professionalism. She is a fabulous ambassador for Comfort Keepers and a very deserving national Carer of the Year 2025 winner.”
On being crowned Carer of the Year 2025, Mary Brennan said:
“I am honoured to receive this recognition for helping my clients to live in the comfort of their home. I am also thankful for all my wonderful colleagues who provide constant support. I love working for Comfort Keepers because it is so supportive, and they've introduced me to so many clients that I absolutely love, and a great team of carers.”

The company also marked 20 years of homecare and celebrated being named the All-Ireland Champion Home Care Company 2025 by the All-Ireland Business Foundation, for the second consecutive year.
