Go ahead given for 51 houses in mid-Louth
Louth County Council has given the go ahead for 51 houses in Dunleer in a development that was previously granted planning permission in 2021.
Birchgrange Ltd applied for planning permission in November 2024 for the development at Woodlands, Dunleer, Co Louth, consisting of 51 two storey houses, comprising two detached houses, 20 semi-detached houses and 29 terraced units.
In the 2021 application, planning was originally sought for 53 dwellings, comprising 24 two storey semi-detached houses, 28 two storey terraced houses and one detached house, but following the submission of further information that October, the number of dwellings changed to 50.
In the 2024 application, further information provided saw the omission of the two detached houses and the addition of two semi-detached houses
Louth County Council granted conditional planning permission for the development on 9 May 2025.
