Regarded as one of Irelands most influential and well-regarded songwriter/musicians, Freddie White will perform in the Oriel Centre, Dundalk Gaol on Saturday 15th November 2025.
Freddie White is a masterful guitar player, singer-songwriter and interpreter of songs who has captivated audiences in Ireland and beyond with his emotive performances. In Ireland, where he has won just about every award going, this Cork musician is something of a legend where together with Philip King and Sonny Condell, he was a founding member of Irish Folk Rock band Scullion.
Freddie later formed The Fake, regarded as one of the seminal Irish bands of the late 70¹s. His career skyrocketed with The Freddie White Band while touring alongside Eric Clapton. Freddie has also toured alongside groups such as Clannad and has collaborated with powerhouses such as Declan Sinnott, Ann O'Sullivan, Jimmy MacCarthy, Jim Barrett and of course the late, great Johnny Duhan.
On the night expect to hear songs from the albums such as ''Do You Do'', ''The Accidental Album'', ‘'Long Distance Runner’' and ''One Heart Beating'', albums which showcase why Freddie has such a successful career spanning five decades.
Music critics have said that Freddie can rock your socks off, bring tears to your eyes with a ballad, or croon a jazz standard, all the while giving this apparently diverse material a common thread. So the Oriel Centre audience are certainly in for a treat!
Tickets for this intimate, seated show are €30 and are available from www.orielcentre.ie
