Let there be light! Public lighting restored at two points in Louth

"Unfortunately, there are still hundreds of public lights around Dundalk and surrounding areas that are in need of repair," said the Councillor

After months of calls from local councillors in Dundalk, public lighting has finally been restored on the Old Dublin Road, Blackrock and along White House Cross in Dromiskin.

Cllr Robert Nash broke the news and commented on the much needed improvements.

Taking to social media, he said, "These were two black spots that I had raised serious health and safety concerns about, so absolutely delighted to see them fixed.

"Unfortunately, there are still hundreds of public lights around Dundalk and surrounding areas that are in need of repair but I have been reassured that contractors are working there way through them as quickly as they can," the Fine Gael Councillor concluded.
