The 68th 2-3 Star Platoon of the Defence Forces officially passed out in a proud ceremony last Friday 28 February, marking the completion of their rigorous training. 27 Infantry Battalion have 45 newly Passed Out soldiers, 42 males and three females, five of whom are local to the Dundalk and Louth area. The five local soldiers are: Pte Adam Lennon, Pte Leon Loughran, Pte Nathan Clarke, Pte Killian Dardis-Scott, Pte AndrewDyas.
After months of intense physical, tactical, and military instruction, the Privates have demonstrated the discipline, resilience, and commitment required to serve Ireland with distinction. Families, friends and Defence Forces leaders gathered to celebrate their achievement, recognizing the hard work and dedication that led to this moment. The newly qualified 3 Star soldiers will now move forward in their military careers, ready to contribute to national defence and international peacekeeping missions.
