Louth Lotto winner bags over €4.5 million

The National Lottery has confirmed that the store location where the winning ticket was purchased will be announced on Friday, 31st January.   

A National Lottery player in Co. Louth has woken up this morning as Ireland’s newest multi-millionaire after winning the €4,642,646 jackpot prize in last night’s (Wednesday, 29th January) draw. The news comes hot on the heels of Tuesday night’s EuroMillions Plus win, where another Louth player snagged the top prize of €500,000. 

The winning numbers from last night’s Lotto draw were: 5, 12, 14, 27, 34, 42 and the Bonus was 25. 

The National Lottery has confirmed that the store location where the winning ticket was purchased will be announced on Friday, 31st January.

The National Lottery is urging all players in the Louth area to check their tickets carefully and if you’re holding the winning ticket, be sure to contact the National Lottery prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email claims@lottery.ie to arrange the collection of your prize. 

Emma Monaghan, spokesperson for the National Lottery said, “Oh my goodness – what a week it’s been for Co. Louth! Not one, but TWO top prizes sold in the county this week. This is absolutely phenomenal! In total, over 63,000 players won prizes in the Lotto and Lotto Plus draws, including our first Lotto jackpot winner of the year. We are beyond thrilled and can’t wait to see the joy this brings to our jackpot winner!” 

Nearly 30 cent in every €1 spent on National Lottery games goes back to Good Causes in the areas of sport, youth, health, welfare, education, arts, heritage and the Irish Language. In total, more than €6.5 billion has been raised for Good Causes since the National Lottery was established 37 years ago. In 2023 alone, €227.9 million was raised for local Good Causes in communities across Ireland.
